How to Make Your Own Lip Balm Using Shea Butter

Tired of dry lips?
Store-bought lip balms often contain harsh ingredients and don’t last. This easy DIY recipe will change that! With just 4 natural ingredients, you can make a nourishing, long-lasting lip balm right at home.
What You’ll Need
2 tablespoons shea butter
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon beeswax
5–10 drops essential oil (like peppermint or lavender)
Lip balm containers or small jars
Double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over a pot.
How to Make It.
Step 1: Melt your ingredients
Add shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax to your double boiler. Stir gently over low heat until fully melted.
Step 2: Add essential oil
Remove from heat and stir in your favorite essential oil.
Step 3: Pour and set
Pour the mixture into your lip balm containers. Let cool at room temperature for 1–2 hours.
Step 4: Apply and enjoy!
Your natural lip balm is ready—smooth, moisturizing, and chemical-free.
Bonus Tips
Want tinted balm? Add a pinch of beetroot powder.
Prefer vegan? Use candelilla wax instead of beeswax.
